What are Wisdom Teeth?

Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, typically emerge between the ages of 17 and 25. In most people, wisdom teeth need to be removed in order to prevent problems down the line. The earlier you have wisdom teeth removed, the easier they are to remove and the smoother the recovery tends to be.

What to Expect

Consultation

Recovery

At your consultation, you will get x-rays and a full dental exam to determine if your wisdom teeth truly need to be removed. You will also meet with your Surgeon, discuss the surgery, get the answers to any questions you may have and decide on the type of sedation or anesthesia you'd like to use for your comfort.

Typically, wisdom teeth removal procedures take less than an hour. You will need a driver with you who will stay on the premises the duration of the procedure. The sedation or anesthesia will be administered, but it will wear off by the time you leave our office and you will easily be able to walk to the car after your procedure is completed.

In most cases, patients are able to return back to normal activities after just two or three days. We will provide you with full post-oral surgery instructions to follow that will ensure proper healing. However, if you have a question or experience any complications, our team is available to you anytime day or night.
